Remote power can be generated in a variety of ways: - Gasoline generators
- Diesel generators
- LP Gas Generators
- Solar photovoltaic panels
- Wind turbines
- Micro hydroelectric
In general the longer you remain in a remote location the more economically desirable solar, wind and hydroelectric become.

Solar panels provide all the power needed for some remote power needs. In other cases, solar panels are used to extend fuel supplies by supplementing power from a gasoline, diesel or LP gas generator. The best thing about solar panels is that they require no fuel supply and therefore help solve logistics problems in remote areas.
